1. When are you going to open?
We plan on opening as soon as we can. The snow guns are on the hill & we have a crew on stand-by 24/7. The earliest we have opened is Oct. 18th in 1992. Last season, 2008, we opened Oct. 28th. The latest opening in the last 25 years is Nov. 20th in 2001.
In order to make snow we need the temperatures to be below freezing for multiple hours, and we need the sky to be clear with low humidity.
Snow from God is beautiful, but it does not make for good snow making weather so, please pray for crisp, clear cool evenings until we are open. Then we can change our prayers and ask for Snow.
2. Do you wax, or adjust ski equipment?
Sorry, we
do not sell equipment, and we are not set up like a ski shop; therefore, we cannot make adjustments, wax, or tune your equipment.
3. What type of food service is available?
We have a cafeteria style food service facility downstairs and "bar & grill" style food service facility upstairs in the Eagles Nest. (Only those over the age of 18, or accompanied by a parent are allowed into the Eagles Nest). On busy weekends & holidays we also have a snack bar located upstairs in the north end of the chalet.
